2010 Summer Programs Announced

Mexico Service Project - July 3-18, 2010
What: Tutoring inner-city children; renovating local community centre
Where: Santa Fe, Mexico
Who: Grade 12 and University Students
Cost: $650 + airfare

Manitoba Service Project - August 13-23, 2010
What: Repairing Aboriginal reserve's church; tutoring local children
Where: Bloodvein, Manitoba
Who: Grade 11 students
Cost: $100 + airfare to Winnipeg

Musqueam Service Project - August 16-21, 2010
What: Salmon Creek clean-up; sports, tutoring and cultural activities with Musqueam youth
Where: Musqueam Native Reserve, Vancouver, BC
Who: Grade 10-12 students
Cost: $100
Notes: Applications for this program must be received before Friday, August 6. An interview will be required prior to admission into the program. If needed, arrangements can be made for homestays for this program.

Big Picture Seminar - Summer Edition - July 26-31, 2010
What: A seminar designed to help young men prepare for the future. The summer edition includes sports, cultural, and team-building activities.
Where: Glenwood, 4050 Osler St., Vancouver, BC
Who: Grade 9 students or those entering Grade 9
Cost: $200 (bursaries available)
Notes: Applications for this program must be received before Friday, July 16. An interview will be required prior to admission into the program. If needed, arrangements can be made for homestays for this program.
